California's Three Strikes Law
The Three Strikes Law says that if a person has been convicted of a serious or violent felony, any later felony conviction will carry with it sentence enhancements.
Second Strike — The mandatory sentence is twice the term required by law for a first time offense.
Third Strike — The mandatory sentence is life imprisonment.
The length of time between felony convictions is not considered. If you were convicted of a serious or violent felony many years ago, and are now facing felony charges, contact us as soon as possible. Prosecutors can move to dismiss previous felonies from consideration, and we will aggressively negotiate for this in your case.
